This photo of the existing garden shows the garden sloping down steeply and is very close to the house. It blocks light to the windows and there is little useable space outside the back door.
The design has a new pathway sloping down to the front door to allow wheelchair access.
New wider steps are proposed with the steep bank being cut back and the garden retained by stone walls.
By pushing back the slope, more space is created for a table and chairs and extra light can get to the house.
The slope is to be split into terraces with a sunken seating area leading to the rest of the garden.
